From Cairo International Airport by car

Cairo International Airport (CAI) is about 10 km from Citystars; by car the trip usually takes 20–30 minutes outside rush hour via the Airport Road and Salah Salem / El-Nasr Road.

International participants are met at the airport by an ISECT III representative (see below). If you prefer to travel independently, ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) pick up from the designated areas outside each terminal.

Travel & visa information

  1. 1. Passport requirements

    All international participants must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond their planned date of entry into Egypt.

  2. 2. Visa instructions

    Most nationalities, including participants from Europe, North America and many Latin American countries, can obtain a visa on arrival at Cairo International Airport (CAI).

    Buy the visa sticker at the bank kiosks in the arrivals hall before reaching the immigration counters. The current fee is US$25, payable in cash.

    Alternatively, apply for an e-visa in advance through the official Egyptian Government portal: www.visa2egypt.gov.eg

  3. 3. Recommended travel dates

    To benefit from the full congress program and the organized cultural tours, we recommend the following itinerary:

    • Ideal arrival: 29 March 2027.
    • Ideal departure: 2 April 2027.

    This itinerary lets you attend the opening sessions on 30 March 2027 and the full entertainment program ending on 1 April 2027.

Airport meet & greet service

To ensure a seamless and welcoming arrival, an official ISECT III representative will be stationed at Cairo International Airport (CAI) to meet all international participants.

Identification
Our representative will be waiting in the arrivals hall, holding a sign clearly displaying the ISECT III logo.
Transfer
Upon meeting you, they will coordinate your private transfer directly to the InterContinental Citystars Hotel.
Assistance
Our team will help with your luggage and guide you through the final steps of your arrival.

Look for the ISECT III sign as you exit the customs area to begin your journey with us in Cairo.
