CallforPapers
ISECT III invites abstracts across Tourism, Heritage, Hospitality and Tour Guiding, aligned with one of the three congress themes. Abstracts are submitted through the abstract submission form on this website, attached as a PDF, and reviewed double-blind by the Scientific Committee.
Abstract guidelines
- Language
- English
- Length
- 300–500 words
- Keywords
- 3–5
- Abstracts must be written in English.
- Length: 300–500 words, followed by 3–5 keywords.
- The title should clearly reflect the content of the research.
- Briefly present the background, objectives, methodology, key findings (or expected outcomes) and significance of the study.
- Indicate the selected conference theme: Sustainability, Identity or Technology.
- Provide the corresponding author’s full name, affiliation, country and email address.
- Accepted authors will be invited to submit a full paper following the conference template and deadlines.
Peer review
Each submission undergoes a double-blind peer-review process by the Scientific Committee, which also determines the most suitable publication outlet for each accepted full paper.
Presentations
Once you have registered and your abstract has been submitted, communications are presented in the academic sessions, held on 30 March and 31 March.
Language & timing
- Presentations may be delivered in English, Spanish or Arabic.
- Instituto Cervantes in Cairo provides translation between Arabic and Spanish, Spanish and Arabic, and Spanish and English.
- Each communication has 15 minutes: 10 to 12 minutes presenting and 3 to 5 minutes of discussion.
- The session chair introduces each presenter.
Equipment & files
- Each room is equipped with a PC, a projector, microphones and a laser pointer.
- Presentation files are accepted as PowerPoint or PDF.
- The deadline and the link for sending presentation files are emailed upon abstract acceptance.

Slide design
- Do not write full paragraphs: outline the point on the slide and elaborate on it out loud.
- Use sans-serif fonts such as Arial or Helvetica.
- Use large font sizes and contrasting colours.
- Keep backgrounds simple.
- Use one to three graphics per slide.
- Avoid text set entirely in capitals.
- Mix words, pictures and graphics.
Delivery
- The slides supplement the talk — do not read them aloud.
- Keep eye contact with the audience rather than with the screen.
- Speak loudly and clearly.
